Volunteer

Our volunteers are essential to the work that we do – from sorting food and assembling Power Pack bags to fundraising and spreading the word, we have many opportunities for you to get involved in our mission.  We need volunteers all year round.

Warehouse Opportunities

Much of our food is donated from the community and must be checked for quality and sorted so that we can distribute it to those in need, a job accomplished solely by volunteers.  You or a group of friends, family, or coworkers can volunteer for opportunities including sorting canned food drive donations, packing Power Pack bags, and packing boxes during the holidays.

Client Services

Our Client Services Location at 112 E. Liberty St. needs volunteers to help distribute food, sort donated clothes or greet our drive-up donors on Saturdays.

Special Projects

Participate in special projects such as planning committees or day-of volunteers for events like the Taste of the NFL or Rubber Duck Regatta or ongoing kitchen volunteering commitments to Cincinnati COOKS!

If you would like to volunteer and have your own idea or would like more information about any of our volunteer opportunities, contact Volunteers Services at volunteerservices@freestorefoodbank.org or view a list of specific openings here.
