Programs

Food is an expression of value and trust and allows us to extend a helping hand to those in crisis, which this is the beginning of our work.  We use food to strengthen our community by creating positive solutions for stability.   Our programs work to eliminate hunger from many angles – from our childhood hunger programs like Power Pack and Kids Cafe to our Kraft Foods Mobile Pantry, which takes up to 10,000 pounds of refrigerated food to underserved and rural communities.

In addition to providing food, we are the connection to many programs and services aimed at furthering self reliance.  We offer referrals to our own programs like housing and job assistance or those in our network of social services organizations to make certain that our clients are supported in all areas of their lives.  Additionally, through our Capacity Development Center, we provide opportunities for our dedicated network of member agencies to grow and serve their own communities.
