Rosenthal Fresh Food Initiative

The Rosenthal Fresh Foods Initiative picks up unprepared and perishable foods such as produce, bread, meat and deli items to deliver to soup kitchens, shelters and other non-profit agencies.  The meat and deli items are immediately frozen and are safe for distribution and consumption.  This program ensures that there are many fresh and nutritious options and reduces the amount of food waste every week.  We rescued over 1.5 million pounds of food last year with the help of local participating grocery retailers include Kroger, Whole Foods Market, Trader Joe's, bigg's, The Fresh Market, Sam's Club and Wal-Mart.
