ABC Training Center
In keeping with the second part of our mission - to further self-reliance for people in crisis - we recognize that we must not only further their self-reliance but also our own. This requires that we provide comprehensive support and training to those who help us carry out our mission, be they our own employees and volunteers, or staff of our 450 nonprofit member agencies.
The purpose of the ABC Training Center is to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of the nonprofit member agencies who partner with us in distributing emergency food, products and social services throughout our 20-county service area of southwestern Ohio, northern Kentucky and southeastern Indiana. The stated mission of the ABC Training Center is “to facilitate access to learning resources for partner agencies in a way that increases their capacity to move clients toward self-reliance.”
The FreestoreFoodbank’s training staff provides a full schedule of workshops on topics ranging from food handling to fundraising.
