With the help and generosity of the community, the Freestore Foodbank serves over 400 member agencies with more than 10 million pounds of food per year. But it doesn’t end there. Addressing hunger allows us to have conversations on other issues affecting individuals, families and communities - not just “How can we help right now,” but “how can we help your future?” .

FOOD

Before there can be a conversation on possibilities and potential, there must be food. It comes before family and jobs, health and community. It’s the single most important foundational element that links all people regardless of race, gender or income. We use food to strengthen our community by creating positive solutions for stability and self-reliance.

SERVICES

Food is an expression of value and trust and allows us to extend a helping hand to those in crisis – this is the beginning. In addition to providing food, we have many programs and services aimed at furthering self reliance, so our work does not end after we feed someone. We offer referrals to our own programs like housing and job assistance or those in our network of social services organizations to make certain that our clients are supported in all areas of their lives.
