Marco Hauer, the Catering Coordinator and Chef for Cincinnati COOKS! Catering is all about attitude…..positive, that is. “I expect us to be as highly regarded as any caterer in Cincinnati,” he says. “Great catering requires imagination and the willingness to do just about anything. Whether it’s french fries or foie gras, I challenge anyone to do it better.”

Not only does Marco set high standards for preparation and presentation of the food CCC offers to customers, he also sets high performance standards for his employees. And, says Marco, they all measure up, because they are all graduates of Cincinnati COOKS! “I have worked in many, many catering environments and I have nothing but the highest consideration for our employees. Not only have they received excellent training at COOKS!, they also bring with them an extra measure of energy and eagerness to continue learning. These graduates have a remarkable drive to succeed, so they truly are assets to the business.”
Make no mistake, Cincinnati COOKS! Catering is a business. Be it breakfast for twenty or hors d’oeuvres for a thousand, CCC invites your inquiry. A complete menu has been developed to guide prospective customers in selecting food for corporate events and private parties of all kinds. Based on comments from customers so far, Cincinnati COOKS! Catering will not disappoint your guests! Tracy Wilson, director of community relations for the Cincinnati Opera, has hired CCC for several occasions, all of which have been wildly successful. “They blew our minds,” says Tracy. “They are so creative, using relatively simple ingredients and making them very tasty. The food is always phenomenal and nicely displayed. At our staff meeting following one event, everyone was asking when we could have them back. Everyone wanted more.”
Originally funded by a $50,000 grant from Sara Lee Foundation, Cincinnati COOKS! Catering was established to provide a revenue stream to help sustain the COOKS! culinary training program. In addition to program revenue, CCC provides employment opportunities for COOKS! graduates. By hiring CCC for special occasions, customers not only get great catering, they get a chance to help the COOKS! program. “However,” says Marco Hauer, “we want people to hire us because of what we can do for them. We will compete with the best. The added plus for customers is that they get more than just great food and service. They get a unique ‘feel good’ experience as part of the package.”
